In what episode of a 1980 tv series did a woman wear gloves to conceal missing fingers lost to gambling ?
The woman was old rich and covered in jewels.At the end of the show she removed a long black glove revealing missing fingers and someone sliced another finger off when she lost a gambling bet.Really creepy.
"Man from the South" is based on a short story by Roald Dahl. It was an episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" with Steve McQueen and Peter Lorre back in 1960. It was re-made for the new "Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1985)" so that's the one you probably remember.
A man bets a gambler that he can't light his cigarette lighter ten times in a row. If the gambler does, he gets the man's car, but if he loses, the man gets to cut off the gambler's finger. The man's wife comes in at the end and says the bet's off because it's her car - it cost her 7 fingers, but she won it.
