Duck Egg Blue
Is the duck egg that i have alive? It smells like cooked egg?
Ok yesterday my stupid friend touch one of the ducks eggs, i told him not to but he did anyways, and i know that once duck eggs have human sent on them they wont take care of the egg. He said he was going to keep it, but i don't trust him wat so ever, so im keeping the egg. the problem is i kept him under a 60 watt light all night, and wen i woke up this morning he smelled like he was cooked 
.. is he still alive? i held him up to the light and i see yolk with dark spots and but i cant tell if there blue veins, i don't see any red veins tho. and we tested to see if it was fertilized and he was. and wen my stupid friend got him, he was warm, which means the ducks were taking care of it. i know how to raise him but i dont know if it is a good thing or bad thing that he smells like fried eggs.
Birds have almost no sense of smell, except for vultures. That crap about a hen refusing an egg after one touched it is not true. It is likely people intrusion that scares off the hen. Put the egg back in the nest and stay away. You are breaking a federal law, having anything from a migratory bird.
