What happened to the Obama's being average, middle class Americans?
During the 08 election the media portrayed them as average middle class Americans that shopped at Target and Pottery Barn. Michelle whined that they just recently paid off their school loans. But, now we see that they live in a multi-million dollar mansion in Chicago, Barack has a severe golf addiction, and Michelle likes to take lavish vacations to Spain. Suddenly, they don't seem quite so average and middle class anymore. What happened?
Billy, when you go to Europe, do you get 60 rooms at $1,200 a night for you and all your friends? Do the taxpayers pay for this?
I go on vacations to Europe all the time, and I'm middle class. Upper middle class, true, but far from wealthy.
The Obamas are millionaires. This is a recent thing for them, and they have every right to enjoy it. It was very recently that they were still paying off student loans, but Barack Obama's two books changed that. I like how you pretend not to understand that things sometimes change.
Edit: Except that didn't happen. When Obama goes on vacation she pays for her own expenses. Her friends likewise pay for themselves. The US government only foots the bill for security arrangements. So your anger is based on something that's not even true.
