Printed Window Curtain
how would mid length tab curtains look in my living room?
I bought thick cotton brown color curtains with black circular print on it and got them stitched mid length tab style but now i m wondering whether they will look good in my living room.i live in an apartment with small rooms and my living room is not so big .Only one wall in my living room has a window.my ceiling is not so high and the windows are also not long.I have medium height sliding glass windows.will long curtains make my room look smaller?please help
As far as color, your choice should depend upon what else color-wise is going on in the room with your furniture, & whether you prefer to surround yourself with lightness or darkness. I personally like the feeling of dark colors - to me, it feels cozy & warm. I feel "naked" with light colors & too much brightness, & I don't like big rooms either...for myself, I TRY to make the rooms look smaller!!! So, if there are other browns in the room & you want to continue to add to that feeling, then keep your curtains. My only issue with them is the length - shorter curtains do nothing positive for a room. Hang your rod as close to the ceiling that you can & it should extend at least 4" past your window frame & have them floor length. You could always add a panel of fabric to the bottom to lengthen them - this is quite in style. Or simply exchange them for a longer length. Long curtains do not make a room look smaller...in fact, they heighten your ceiling, especially if they are a stripe.
So, ask yourself how you want the room to feel...light & bright, or cozy & warm. Then take it from there.
