Velvet Window Curtain
Do you think purple curtains would look good in my room?
I am 16 and ,y sister is 12 and here is our room

Neither of us are really girly, or really tomboyish, we are inbetween.

I HATE that window so much. It looks out onto the road and in the evenings the sun blares in and in the summer it makes out room so hot and at night the moonlight blares in.
I was thinking of painting the walls a blue color and then having those purple curtains combined with pinks in the room as well... My parents think he purple curtains are a terrible idea, what do you think?? Thanks!!
I don't like light purple, I like dark purple...
blake101 - I would LOVE to re arrange the furniture but I don't think it will fit any other way in our room...
When I was your age I had dark royal purple curtains in my room, and knowing how teenagers sleep, I LOVED how they helped block the light and noise. And I think as long as you keep other colors (blues/pinks) in there it won't get too drab or goth. I think it will be great!
