How do I get my cat to stop chewing on our vertical blinds?
I have a two year old female cat, since moving to our new apartment in June she has destroyed at least 7 vertical blind vanes. We obviously will have to replace these before we move, but it would be nice if we could benefit from nice looking blinds while we're here. However, we can't fix them if she's going to keep chewing...how can I get her to stop? Spraying with water is not working, she likes it! Also, I'm leery about no chew sprays because I have a 19 month old son and am not sure if it would be safe around him. Please help!
Bitter apple should be alright to use, but I understand not wanting to use it.
I had the same problem with one of my cats, and it was suggested that we spray with a water bottle, but our cat liked water. So, used a mix of water and white vinegar to spray him with. It worked wonders and is non-toxic.
