where can i find some nice corsets?
the clothes ones. victorian style with velvet and lace. black, purple, red, green, maybe some dark blue. corsets, corset-tops, or waist cinchers. NOT the lingerie stuff. thank youu
Real corsets are sold by the waist measurement when fully tight, so if you see a corset listed as a 24" corset that means it will reduce up to a 24-inch waist. If its being sold by sizes like "small, medium, or large" then it's just lingerie made to look like a corset. Real corsets almost always also explain in detail how much steel boning they use. You want to get one that is a number several inches smaller than your real waist. Like my waist is a 28, 24" corsets are the largest that will fit me well (usually I shop for 22" corsets and just don't pull it all the way tight). The corset may loosen up a tad from use, and those measurements are rarely completely accurate to begin with unless you're having one custom made.
eBay is the cheapest place I know of for buying real corsets, they're listed in with the lingerie so you have to search by the waist measurement you want.

For Victorian you really want ones that don't use leather or pvc as neither were common materials [or didn't exist at all] back then. Natural cloth materials (wool, cotton), silk, velvet are all period correct. You might also want to get the shape right, some corsets sold today are worn as fashion accessories on the outside of clothing and don't go further down then the tops of modern pants [basically they just cover part of a shirt]. If you want it to be historically correct you want to look at old Victorian photographs & advertisements of corsets to see what shape you want, and then find a modern one that is close to it in shape.
