How can you fix blurry privacy glass in rear window of Chrysler van?

My rear van window - with defroster wiring in it - has become so blurry that I can't identify vehicles right behind me. I don't know why this happened or what to do about it. Can the 'film' that darkens the window be removed somehow without damaging the defroster wires? Can it be fixed so it is clear again? This is the factory installed glass. Any help greatly appreciated!

use a professional steamer and you can steam the tint paper off and you will not damage the defroster wiring, how ever its going to leave the glass sticky with glue so use the steamer and scrape the glue with a razor (careful not to cut the defrosting wiring)
