how easy is to fit a 3ft x 4ft double glazed window?
had 2 quotes £350 & £425! for this 1 window , which is the only one in the house thats not double glazed.have thought of using insulating film , but the frame isnt in v good condition
Depending on your DIY skills fitting a window can be straight forward, providing you fit it square plumb and level all round. I use expanding foam after I've drilled and fixed to get a good all round solid fixing, also uk building regs insist on a draught free seal. Mastic seal around the outside to weather proof, job done.
