Tail light film tints - same as Window Film?
So I wanted to smoke out my tail lights to 20% or there about. I got the pre-cut tail light tints that you find online for a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, but the problem is these tints don't cover the whole light, just the front circular part. Call me anal, but I want the whole light fixture to be tinted, not just the face. It's occured to me that the pre-cut stuff is kinda nonsense and, for the tail lights at least, it would be easier to just cut a piece from a roll of film and use that. Any other suggestions for this whole process, including tips, are greatly appreciated, but my main question is: what sort of film should I buy? Can I get it from a store or does it have to be ordered off the internet? Is the film used for tinting windows the same as that used for tinting tail lights?
VHT makes a taillight spray that tints them, try ebay for the best price or a parts store like autozone
