Window Film Weather
What causes the Green color you sometimes see before a severe storm or tornado?

In my experience sometimes before a severe storm usually tornado producing ones before the weather become violent everything looks green. Almost as if their is a green film over your window. Why does this happen and what causes this?

My observations and research seem to favor the effect being a result of sunlight passing through an abundance of hailstones in the storm. The hailstones are somewhat better scatterers of light in the greenish part of the spectrum, thus producing that hue of color.
