Window Scarf Valance
Tips or instructions on how to put a scarf curtain on a valance...?
I took the scarf off my valance to wash it and now I can't figure out how to put it back. I have never decorated a window with a "scarf". All the window treatments in my house were here when I moved in. I think I am conveying this properly. I didn't even know what it was called until I was searching the internet for tips. Please help. Thanks!
No, it didn't shrink and I've already ironed it, but I will have to again since I wrinkled it by trying to put it up.
Scarf valances are either casual or formal, assuming you have a casual arrangement, Im guessing that its a scarf draped over a rod with a swag handing down the center like ) sideways. First, if you didnt shrink it by washing it, you must iron it until silky smooth. Then gently fold in half legnthwize and gather the width in your hands at about where you want the swag to drape at the corners, You can take the rod down and do this on the bed. try the swag in front of the rod or behind depending on the look you want. If that dosent work try adding another swag like a metallic bronze sheer and work that in behind it swags should be one or three only, Hope this helps.
